You’ve got Qs?

We’ve got A’s.

What’s included in a VowPop wedding?

A lot. Every package includes a beautifully styled ceremony space, a licensed officiant, background music and a champagne toast! Each package lists special perks included. Upgrades are available as well for some of our packages!

Do I need a marriage license before I book?

You can book first, but you’ll need your marriage license before your ceremony.

We’ll even send you a direct link to the Stanislaus County Clerk-Recorder to make your appointment. We are conveniently located across the street from the county clerk recorder office! Vow renewals and symbolic ceremonies don’t require a license.

Who turns in the marriage license paperwork?

Our officiant can turn in your paperwork for you, but if you prefer you can turn the paperwork yourself to the County Clerk Recorder Office.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! We offer Buy Now, Pay Later through Klarna so you can split your purchase into easy installments with no hidden fees.

Can I bring my own photographer/bouquet/officiant?

Yes most definitely!

What happens after I book?

You’ll instantly receive a confirmation email with a link to add any upgrades and to fill out planning details for your wedding

Then you’ll get reminders 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before your celebration.

Can I reschedule my date?

Yes — once.

Reschedules must be made at least 7 days before your original date and include a $100 rescheduling fee.

Within 7 days, reschedules aren’t permitted.

What’s your cancellation policy?

All sales are final. If you need to make changes or have questions please contact us.

Can I bring guests?

Yes! Each package has its own guest limit, and most allow additional guests for a small fee.

Check your package page for details.

Can I add more time to my celebration?

Some packages allow time extensions. Extra time starts at $50 per 15 minutes (up to one hour of additional time depending on the package).

Can I book everything online?

Absolutely — it’s literally our thing.

Choose your package, pick your date, pay online, and you’re done. After you book your date you will be sent a link to customize your package with planning details and upgrades (if applicable).

Can I add a cake or champagne?

All packages include a champagne toast and some packages include a mini cutting cake. Most packages have the option to add on the mini cutting cake if it is not included.

You’ll choose after you book once you fill out your planning questionnaire.

Where do we get our marriage license?

From the Stanislaus County Clerk-Recorder, which is just steps from our front door.
We’ll send you the appointment link automatically. Or if you are located out of town you can go to your local county clerk recorder's office.

Do we need witnesses?

For a public license, you need one witness (two are OK).

For a confidential license, witnesses are not required.

Do vow renewals require a license?

Nope — vow renewals are symbolic. No license or paperwork needed.

Where does the ceremony take place?

Our ceremonies take place in The Fern Room located in Nine3One.

What if we’re running late?

We’ll do our best to accommodate, but due to back-to-back celebrations, late arrivals may shorten your ceremony time. Events cannot extend past the scheduled window unless an upgrade is pre-purchased.

Is there parking?

Yes — parking is easy and close to the venue.

We recommend arriving a few minutes early so your guests can park, stroll over, and get ready for the celebration.

For detailed directions and parking tips, you can also view our full parking guide here:

You and your guests can choose from several convenient options:

- Parking lot directly behind our building: just a quick walk to the ceremony space and perfect for guests who want the closest access.

- 11th Street Parking Garage: a spacious multi-level garage located on 11th & J, only a short stroll from our entrance. Ideal for larger groups.

- Street parking on our block: there is typically plenty of metered and non-metered parking along 10th Street and the surrounding area, especially during evenings and weekends.

Are kids allowed?

Yes! Children count toward the guest total.

Can we bring pets?

Yes — as long as they’re friendly, leashed, and supervised.

(Some couples want a ring dog. We support that energy.)

Can we customize the décor?

We include seasonal, modern styling. You may be able to bring in your own simple custom touches depending on the package — just ask!

What should we wear?

Whatever feels like “you.” From simple to glam — we’ve seen it all.

Just be comfortable and confident.

Can we bring our own desserts or food?

Outside food and desserts are not permitted. Select VowPop packages include a mini cutting cake, and some experiences may offer additional upgrade options such as our charcuterie package.

Do you allow alcohol?

Yes!

VowPop packages include a champagne/cider toast.

For the Pop-Up package, you can elevate your celebration with our Beer & Wine Bar Upgrade (+$300), which includes beer, wine, soft drinks, an attendant, ice, glassware, and full setup.

We do not offer full liquor service for pop-up packages, and outside alcohol is not permitted.

Can we leave right after?

Yes — most ceremonies last 30–45 minutes and you’re free to continue celebrating anywhere you’d like afterward.

Do you share photos on social media?

Sometimes! If you prefer privacy, just let us know in your form.

Can we see the space before we book?

Absolutely. We would be happy to show you the space! Book a Tour

What's included, and what costs extra?

Every package lists exactly what's included. Optional add-ons (extra guests, cake, music, and more) are listed under each package so there are no surprises.

What if we need to change our date?

We know plans can shift, so you're welcome to reschedule once, as long as you let us know at least 7 days before your original date. A $100 fee covers the staffing and calendar changes on our end, and your new date just needs to fall within 90 days and be available on our calendar. You can find all the details in our Booking & Cancellation Policy.

How far in advance should we book?

Dates become available 90 days ahead so if your date is more than 90 days away check back to see if it becomes available. We ask that all bookings be made at least 72 hours before your date. Beyond that, it's completely up to you. Some couples plan a few weeks out, and others book on a bit of a whim when a date feels right. We sometimes have last-minute openings too, so if your perfect date is coming up soon, it's always worth a look. Just one thing to keep in mind as you plan: if yours is a legal ceremony, you'll need a California marriage license first. You will have to book an appointment to apply for a marriage license at a county clerk's office, it's valid for 90 days, and there's no waiting period, so even a short timeline leaves plenty of room to make it official.
