Privacy Policy

VowPop (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. While our lawyers insist on lots of detail, rest assured we won’t spill your secrets, except perhaps to the officiant so they can pronounce your names correctly.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share and safeguard your information when you visit our Site or use our Services.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

When you interact with VowPop, you may voluntarily provide us with:

Contact details: your name, email address, mailing address, phone number and other information you provide via forms or communications.

Booking details: package selection, preferred date and venue, guest counts, special requests, marriage‑license status and any customizations.

Payment information: credit‑card numbers, expiration dates and billing addresses. We work with payment processors and financing providers (e.g., Stripe, Square or Affirm) who process your payment information; we do not store full payment card details.

Communications: information you share when you contact us for support, participate in surveys or promotions, or otherwise interact with us.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Site, we automatically collect certain information, including:

Usage data: your IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, links clicked and the date/time of your visit.

Device data: device identifiers, device type and network information.

Cookie data: small text files stored on your device that help us recognize you, remember your preferences and analyze how you use the Site. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies, but some features may not function properly.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, operate and maintain the Site and Services;

Process and manage bookings, payments and customer support;

Communicate with you about your bookings, updates, promotions and offers;

Personalize your experience and deliver content relevant to your interests;

Conduct analytics and improve our offerings;

Send marketing communications (you may opt out at any time);

Comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

3. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

Service providers: with trusted third parties who provide services on our behalf, such as payment processors, financing providers, venues, officiants, florists, photographers, musicians, caterers, analytics providers and email‑marketing services. They may use your information only to perform services for us.

Affiliates & business partners: with our affiliates, partners and vendors who contribute to your wedding package; they may use your information only as necessary to deliver their services.

Legal requirements: if required to comply with laws, regulations, legal processes or governmental requests, or to protect the rights, property or safety of VowPop, our customers or others.

Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets or other business transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

With your consent: we may share your information with third parties when you consent to such sharing. For example, when you elect to bring your own photographer or vendor.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Because our packages require commitments to venues and vendors, and because once we start planning your big day we’re fully invested, all sales are considered final. However, we understand that life happens. All cancellation or rescheduling requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected].

Rescheduling: You may reschedule your event with at least 30 days’ written notice. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your new date, subject to venue and vendor availability. Additional fees may apply for rescheduling.

Cancellations: If you decide to cancel your booking more than 30 days before the scheduled event, you will not receive a cash refund, but we will issue a gift card equal to 50 % of the total amount paid. This gift card can be applied toward a future VowPop booking by you or gifted to someone else. Cancellations made 30 days or fewer before the event are non‑refundable, and no credit or gift card will be issued.

VowPop reserves the right to cancel or reschedule an event due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (e.g., extreme weather, venue closure or government orders). If this happens, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule. If rescheduling is not possible, we may issue a credit or refund of amounts paid, less non‑recoverable costs already committed.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, to provide the Services, to comply with legal obligations, to resolve disputes, to enforce our agreements and for other legitimate business purposes. When information is no longer needed, we will delete or anonymize it.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures to protect your information from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access. These measures include encryption, secure servers and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Choices

Email communications: You can opt out of marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in those emails. We may still send transactional messages related to your bookings.

Cookies: You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being used. Some features of the Site may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

Account information: You may review and update your personal information by contacting us.

Do Not Track: Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” feature. Our Site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals.

8. Your Rights (California and Other Jurisdictions)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) may provide you with rights regarding your personal information, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion of your personal information, the right to correct inaccurate information and the right to opt out of certain sharing. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the information below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Residents of other jurisdictions may have similar rights under local data‑protection laws. We will respond to valid requests in accordance with applicable law.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our Site and Services are not directed to children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18 without parental consent, we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies or legal requirements. When we do, we will post the updated policy on the Site and revise the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Site after the updated policy becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
